You would think that a transgendered person playing Mary in a government sponsored nativity scene would be enough to make Bob a staunch advocate for an absolute separation between church and state!

Maybe that's how you get Bob to jump onto the church vs. state issue. Elect a bunch of Muslims and Jehovah's Witnesses to office so he won't want them endorsing religion:).
