South Bend's mayor Peter Buttigieg has put his hat into the DNC's long list of candidates for the DNC Presidential ticket. The chat rooms have erupted with plenty of snarky remarks, making gay mayor Buttigieg the butt of jokes and snarky retorts. While I'm conservative and stand for marriage between a man and woman only, I don't condone the jokes and crude retorts in the chat rooms and blog sites. With that said, Buttigieg's run for the DNC Presidential ticket reminds me of a candidate who ran for President back in 1992.

Does anyone remember Irvine Mayor Larry Agran and the tantrums he threw when he wanted to be in on the debates with the big boys?
Larry Agran became the laughingstock at the DNC primaries in 1992. Balanced the budget of Irvine? Oh Please! Irvine's regulations made it hard to not balance the budget. The budget was handed to Agran on a silver platter. Anyone in the city government could balance Irvine's budget unless he or she made some shady backroom deal. Of course Agran had a balanced budget! Larry Agran was only a figurehead puppet in Irvine. In California, he managed to get as many votes as Governor Moonbeam, but got laughed at in the other states. Yes, Agran somehow managed to turn Moonbeam upside down, at least in California.
"Bent-South" Pete may be from the land of unicorns and the marshmallow trees as far as the Democrat voters may be concerned. The Chat Rooms and Message Boards have closed down for now after making him their butt of jokes.
Let's compare "Uncle Pete" with Mayor Agran again:
